10/21: WCT wins RM1.36b job in Qatar PETALING JAYA: WCT Bhd has been awarded a RM1.36bil contract for the construction, completion and maintenance of a governmental administrative building in Doha, Qatar.
The construction company told Bursa Malaysia yesterday that the works were expected to be completed by April 2013.
The contract will not have any material impact on the group’s earnings and assets for the financial year ending Dec 31 but is expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings, it said.
WCT said the directors of the company were of the opinion that the acceptance of the contract was “in the best interest” of the company.
Separately, the company also said it was awarded a RM127.8mil for the design, construction, completion, equipping, commissioning and maintenance of Tuaran Hospital, Sabah, Malaysia.
The works are expected to be completed on May 1, 2013.
